Solstice Appreciation and Education Walk

The Winter Solstice has been an inspiration for holidays for all time. It’s a celebration of returning to the Light.

Let’s take a walk through the Evergreens and learn about it!

With the moment where the shift from shortening days to lengthening ones, comes a celebration.

This celebration is the inspiration for the Christmas tree, gift giving, and feasts that are common in the modern day festivities.

We’ll use this walk to chat all Solstice things in astronomy, religion, and celebrations through different cultures.

This is an all ages experience! I will have topics scattered throughout for the different levels of interest.

This will be a very slow paced 1-1.5 mile hike through an easy to traverse trail.

Make sure to dress warm. I will have vegan hot chocolate and snacks available.
